Today was a real mixed bag of eating. I did some of my own meals and incorporated healthy ingredients and ate some of the NS food. I had gone grocery shopping Saturday and portioned out all the meat and seafood into normal serving sizes so that when I want something different it is ready for me. I am still planning on doing a combination of foods, both my homemade meals and NS. I know the weight loss will be a little slower, but if I am happy emotionally I can deal with that.
Breakfast: Nutri-O’s (NS) with blueberries and skim milk; cottage cheese on 1/2 WW whole wheat english muffin; coffee.
Lunch: 6 oz. 93/7 turkey burger on sandwich thin with FF cheese, lettuce, tomato, banana peppers and bbq sauce; bbq soy chips (NS); orange.
Dinner: Grilled lobster tail; roasted carrots and brussel sprouts; potato pancakes with FF sour cream and applesauce.
I made the potato pancakes semi-healthy…I used egg beaters instead of whole eggs, but I couldn’t figure out how to fry them without using vegetable oil. I used a lot less than they said to, so some of them fell apart, but they were still delicious! Then later I realized I probably could have used my electric non-stick griddle and I would have only needed cooking spray. Oh well…next time.
Here is what Chris had…the same as me but no brussel sprouts and a HUGE steak!
Tooting my own horn….yes, I am a good cook!
Afternoon snack was string cheese and an apple, I did have two bites of steak and no evening snack. I was plenty full from dinner. Hope everyone else had a nice Valentine’s Day too!
